The Bartender is responsible for crafting, mixing, and serving a variety of beverages, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. This role involves ensuring exceptional drink quality and delivering a memorable guest experience.
The Bartender oversee the bar setup, maintains cleanliness and organization throughout the shift, and efficiently handles the opening and closing procedure for the Bar Lounge.
Duties:
- Greet customers warmly, take note of their drink preferences, and make recommendations when necessary to enhance their experience.
- Select and mix ingredients to create a variety of beverages, garnishing glasses, and serving drinks with attention to detail and presentation.
- Utilize a wide range of ingredients to craft drinks and ensure an extensive menu offering.
- Prepare ingredients and garnishes in advance to ensure smooth and efficient service to guests, and take customer orders while serving food and beverages promptly.
- Take beverage orders from customers or team members, ensuring accuracy and precision in drink preparation and presentation.
- Handle transactions accurately, processing payments via cash, room charge, or credit card as required.
- Conduct daily inventory checks, order supplies as needed, and discard expired goods, ensuring the bar is always fully stocked with necessary ingredients and materials.
- Organize and clean the bar area before and after shifts, maintaining a sanitary and well-prepared workspace for drink preparations and guest service.
- Adhere to Food and Beverage policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure consistent quality and safety.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager or Supervisor to support the team.
- Open and close F&B outlets, ensuring all procedures are followed and the space is prepared for operation.
- Other duties requested by F&B Manager and Asst. F&B Manager according to business needs.
- Engages in sustainable practices while in the workplace, accepting and following sustainable workplace policies and procedures.
- Ensures workplace practices meet guest needs while also supporting the organisation’s efforts to reduce its environmental footprint.
- Promotes the embedding of sustainable practices in workplace policy and culture.
- Collaborates to contribute to or lead change management initiatives that support the organisation’s sustainability goals.
