We’re seeking a driven, strategic, and passionate Assistant Sales Manager to join our Events & Catering team, with a strong focus on the MICE segment — particularly international conferences taking place in Malta.
If you thrive on building strong client relationships, spotting growth opportunities, and managing complex event requirements, this is your next big move.
What You’ll Do:

- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities while ensuring continued growth of the corporate and DMC portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, DMC, event planners, and other partners in the local and international markets.
- Prepare, send, and follow up on proposals and contracts to maximize conversion and revenue.
- Coordinate and oversee event activities such as site visits, food tastings, and client meetings to ensure flawless execution and client satisfaction.
- Work closely with the Events and Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Contribute creative ideas for presenting our venues and catering services across various event locations in Malta.
- Assist in preparing sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses, using systems such as OPERA Sales & Catering or similar CRM tools.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in MICE, Catering, or Hospitality Sales, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role.
- A solid background in events, food & beverage, and client relationship management.
- Strong networking skills within the local events and DMC community.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Experience with OPERA Sales & Catering or similar sales systems is preferred.
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
- A creative mindset and passion for delivering memorable hospitality experiences.
- Fluency in English; additional languages will be considered an asset.
