Job Description
Constance Ephelia, a luxurious resort in the Seychelles, is seeking a talented and creative Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our culinary team. As a key member of our pastry department, you will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts and pastries that delight our discerning guests.
- Prepare a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for the resort's restaurants and banquet events
- Assist in menu planning and development of new pastry items
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all pastry products
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff
- Collaborate with other kitchen teams to ensure smooth service operations
- Contribute to the overall success of the pastry department by sharing ideas and participating in team meetings
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or diploma in pastry arts
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role
- Proven expertise in various pastry preparation techniques and baking skills
- Strong knowledge of international desserts and pastry trends
- Experience in luxury hotel or resort settings preferred
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Food safety certification
- Proficiency in menu planning and development
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergens
