Job Description
Constance Ephelia , a luxurious resort in the Seychelles, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our quality management systems to ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement quality management strategies aligned with organisational goals
- Lead quality assurance activities across all departments of the resort
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
- Analyse quality metrics and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management
- Oversee guest satisfaction surveys and online reputation management
- Manage and follow up on official quality audits (LRA) and self-assessments
- Train and mentor staff on quality management principles and best practices
- Implement and maintain environmental management systems to support sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate with department heads to establish and monitor key performance indicators
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with departments
- Assist Senior Management in resolving guest complaints when required
- Chair monthly quality committee meetings and prepare reports for management
- The Quality Manager will ensure timely follow-up of quality action plans, responses to guest feedback, and completion of audit action plans. They will also be required to perform duty manager shifts and any other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in quality management, preferably in luxury hospitality
- Proven expertise in quality management systems, ISO standards, and auditing procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Proficiency in project management and staff training
- Advantage to have knowledge of various languages (French, German, Arabic, Italian, etc.)
- Willingness to relocate to Seychelles
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
- Knowledge of international hospitality standards (e.g., Forbes Travel Guide, AAA Diamond Rating)
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
