About Us
Since 1987, Les Elfes International has been welcoming students from over 75 nationalities to its purpose-built campuses in Verbier, La Tzoumaz, Crans-Montana, and Niseko (Japan). In Verbier, our kitchen team caters daily for 100–150 children and staff, providing balanced, international menus adapted to a wide range of dietary needs. We run our kitchen on a collectivité model – structured, efficient, and focused on quality, consistency, and safety.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our Verbier kitchen team. The Chef is responsible for preparing and serving healthy, tasty, and varied meals for children and staff, managing food orders and stock, and ensuring HACCP standards are always maintained.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) for ~100–150 people.

Adapt menus for dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, allergies, etc.).

Take full responsibility for ordering, stock management, and supplier relations.

Maintain portion control and minimize food waste.

Supervise and support kitchen helpers to ensure efficient teamwork.

Guarantee food safety and hygiene standards in line with HACCP requirements.

Contribute to special events (BBQ, themed evenings).
Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef, ideally in collectivité catering (schools, camps, canteens, hospitals, hotels).

Solid knowledge of menu planning for large groups.

Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure during peak service.

Fluent French (spoken and written) – English is a plus.

Culinary training or professional diploma preferred.

Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive.
