Job Description
We are seeking a professional and efficient IT Support Officer to join our team at Constance Ephelia, located in the beautiful Seychelles. As an IT Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our organisation's technology infrastructure and providing exceptional support to our staff and guests.
- Respond to and resolve IT-related issues and requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person to staff and guests
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure optimal performance
- Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect our systems and data
- Conduct regular system updates and maintenance to prevent potential issues
- Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers when necessary
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and systems
- Provide basic training to staff on IT tools and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT support or a similar role
- Proficiency in various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with IT security practices and procedures
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear manner
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation) are desirable
- Understanding of hospitality industry IT needs is preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
