What You'll Do
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is a dynamic and service-driven individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, hospitality expertise, and a deep passion for luxury service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead service excellence through daily pre-shift briefings, staff training, development initiatives, and performance evaluations, ensuring alignment with Forbes, Coyle, and AAA luxury standards.
* Collaborate with the Chef and Restaurant Managers to maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, and elegant presentation across all outlets.
* Ensure timely food production and service flow while upholding the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
* Actively contribute to achieving financial goals by monitoring cost control measures, including cost of sales, labor expenses, and inventory management.
* Identify, develop, and mentor high-potential team members through consistent feedback, training, and advancement opportunities.
* Support hiring efforts by helping to recruit and onboard qualified candidates. Provide regular, constructive performance reviews to foster a culture of growth and accountability.
* Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of the restaurant's interior and exterior, ensuring all areas meet or exceed brand and health department standards.
* Work closely with the Chef to ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, while supervising all non-supervisory staff to maintain service excellence and operational efficiency.
* Manage employee scheduling, work allocation, recognition programs, and conflict resolution. Support the team through coaching, ongoing training, and daily leadership.
* Engage with guests to ensure a memorable dining experience. Proactively address concerns and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty.
* Experienced in supervising and coordinating a team of 50-60 employees, ensuring smooth daily operations and high service standards
* Take on additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned to support the broader goals of the Food & Beverage department.
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, or Culinary Management is preferred.
* Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role or 3 years as a Server/Bartender in a luxury 5* hotel or resort, upscale dining environment.
* Positive, guest-focused attitude with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
* Proven experience in Forbes 5-Star service standards and ability to train and uphold luxury service protocols (Forbes/AAA).
* Multi-venue operational experience in high-end restaurants, lounges, or resort dining outlets.
* Strong inventory management and cost control skills, with a keen eye for operational efficiency.
* Proficiency in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems and guest reservation platforms.
* Caribbean hospitality experience is mandatory, with an understanding of local culture and service expectations.
* Demonstrated ability to train and lead a team in accordance with Forbes and AAA luxury standards.
* Strong passion for personalizing guest interactions and curating elevated dining experiences.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive with a strong sense of initiative.
* Valid Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certifications, where applicable.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
* Confident in retaining and presenting detailed menu, beverage, and allergy information to guests.
* Prior experience with POS systems and reservation software is highly desirable.
* Flexibility to work outdoors, weekends, evenings, and public holidays is essential to meet business demands

The hourly pay range for this role is $9 to $11 USD plus gratuities. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, pension, meal per shift, and many other benefits to eligible employees.
