Elba Restaurant is looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and ready to be part of our team! You will play a key role in keeping our kitchen and front-of-house areas sparkling clean, safe, and welcoming for both staff and guests. The role involves helping keep the kitchen, dining areas, restrooms, and shared spaces clean and organized, supporting the team and helping us provide a welcoming experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Duties:
- Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and crockery.
- Keep kitchen floors and surfaces clean, dry, and free from hazards.
- Assist with basic food preparation as directed by chefs (e.g., peeling or chopping).
- Dispose of waste and recycling according to health and safety regulations.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages.
Restaurant Cleaning Duties:
- Clean and restock restaurant restrooms regularly throughout the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as customer waiting areas, hallways, and staff rooms.
- Empty bins and remove trash from front-of-house areas as needed.
- Sweep and mop floors in both kitchen and public areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
Health & Safety:
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines and procedures.
- Report any hazards or equipment issues to management immediately.
- Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to uniform standards.
