Job Description
Constance Moofushi, a luxurious resort in the Maldives, is seeking a friendly and customer-focused MAT Lounge Host to join our exceptional team. As a MAT Lounge Host, you will play a crucial role in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests in our exclusive MAT Lounge.
- Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere • Provide attentive and personalised service to meet and exceed guest expectations • Take food and beverage orders, demonstrating knowledge of menu items and making recommendations • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the lounge area • Assist in organising and executing special events or themed nights in the lounge
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and efficiently • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service • Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards • Promote a positive and cooperative work environment among team members
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds • Proven experience in hospitality or customer service roles, preferably in luxury resorts or high-end establishments • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including cocktail preparation • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail • Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively • Basic computer skills for operating point-of-sale systems and processing payments
- High school diploma or equivalent • Food safety certification (desirable) • Bartending certification (desirable) • Knowledge of Maldivian culture and customs (preferred) • Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards and practices • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights • Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
