Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Food & Beverage Intern to join our team at our luxurious resort in Constance Moofushi, Maldives. This exciting opportunity will provide hands-on experience in various aspects of food and beverage operations within a tropical island setting.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and in-room dining
- Support the service team in providing exceptional customer experiences to our guests
- Learn and apply food and beverage service techniques and standards
- Assist in the preparation of dining areas, including table settings and décor
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand menu items and special dietary requirements
- Participate in team briefings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food and beverage areas
- Support the organisation and execution of special events and themed nights
- Contribute to the improvement of service procedures and guest satisfaction
- Gain exposure to various aspects of food and beverage management, including inventory control and cost management
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent customer service orientation with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to live and work in a tropical island environment
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills in the hospitality industry
