Job Description
Constance Ephelia, a luxurious resort in the Seychelles, is seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie specialising in Fine Dining Pastry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a world-class setting, creating exquisite desserts that delight our discerning guests.
- Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our fine dining restaurants
- Develop and refine dessert menus in collaboration with the Executive Pastry Chef
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all pastry items
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety
- Manage and organise the pastry section efficiently
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Monitor and control food costs and minimise waste
- Collaborate with other kitchen teams to ensure seamless service
- Stay updated on current pastry trends and techniques
- Accommodate special dietary requirements and allergen requests
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or diploma specialising in pastry
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fine dining pastry, preferably in luxury hospitality settings
- Advanced knowledge of pastry techniques and fine dining dessert presentation
- Proficiency in using and maintaining pastry equipment
- Strong skills in menu planning and development
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Creativity and attention to detail in dessert creation and presentation
- Expertise in international pastry techniques and trends
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergen management
- Food safety certification
- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Willingness to relocate to the Seychelles
