Job Description
Constance Ephelia, a luxurious resort in the Seychelles, is seeking an experienced and passionate Maitre D'Hotel to lead our fine dining restaurant. As the face of our establishment, you will ensure an exceptional dining experience for our discerning guests while managing a team of skilled professionals.
- Oversee the daily operations of the fine dining restaurant, maintaining the highest standards of service and hospitality
- Lead, train, and motivate the restaurant team to deliver impeccable customer service
- Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcome
- Manage reservations and table assignments to optimise restaurant capacity and guest satisfaction
- Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and service delivery
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with grace and efficiency
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of menu items, wine lists, and beverage offerings
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews to foster a culture of excellence
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Assist in menu planning, wine selection, and special event coordination
- Monitor and maintain the restaurant's ambiance, including lighting, music, and decor
- Analyse sales data and guest feedback to implement improvements and drive revenue growth
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fine dining restaurants, with previous experience as Maitre D'Hotel or in a similar leadership role
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Exceptional customer service skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in restaurant management software
- Extensive knowledge of fine dining etiquette and service standards
- Wine and food pairing expertise
- Understanding of international cuisine and culinary trends
- Fluency in English, French; Italian; additional languages are highly beneficial
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards in a luxury hospitality environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
