Job Description
Constance Ephelia, a luxurious resort in Seychelles, is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Assistant Hygiene Manager to join our team. In this crucial role, you will support the Resort in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our property, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing and implementing hygiene and sanitation protocols across all areas of the resort
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and local health regulations
- Train and supervise cleaning staff on proper hygiene practices and the safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Create and maintain cleaning schedules for all departments
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to address hygiene-related concerns and implement improvements
- Prepare and present hygiene performance reports to senior management
- Stay up-to-date with the latest hygiene practices and technologies in the hospitality industry
- Assist in managing the hygiene budget and identifying cost-saving measures
- Respond promptly to guest complaints or concerns related to cleanliness and hygiene
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Food Microbiology, Microbiology, or Public Health with HACCP and Food Safety & Hygiene certifications
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Assistant Hygiene Manager in a 5-star luxury hotel
- In-depth knowledge of hygiene standards and practices in the hospitality sector
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemicals, and their proper usage
- Understanding of local health and safety regulations in Seychelles
- Adaptability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
