Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service while managing pool and beach operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Supervise and coach Pool & Beach Supervisors and attendants, assigning tasks and offering support as needed.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and concerns, collaborating with the food & beverage team, and overseeing palapa rentals and setup.
- Maintain financial responsibility by managing billing, completing payroll, and adhering to budgetary targets.
- Conduct daily inspections of facilities and equipment, coordinating with the Director of Engineering for maintenance requirements.
- Lead daily line-up meetings and regular staff meetings to maintain good communication and high service standards.
- Implement and document annual retraining programs and special projects for continuous improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate team member performance, providing coaching and taking appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and distinctively supreme guest experiences.
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements for Assistant Pool & Beach Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pool and beach management roles at luxury resorts or high-end hospitality establishments
- Proven track record of leadership and team management in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in additional languages is a significant advantage
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management
- Proficiency in hospitality management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Knowledge of pool and beach equipment maintenance and safety protocols
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns effectively
- Experience in food and beverage operations, including menu planning and inventory management
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and motivate team members to achieve high performance standards
