Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in menu development, food preparation, and quality initiatives
- Prepare and arrange food according to hotel recipes and health department requirements
- Set up and maintain workstation, including cleanliness of assigned areas
- Perform regular inventory checks and maintain proper par levels
- Train staff members as directed and ensure HACCP standards are consistently followed
- Report any safety hazards, discrepancies in recipes, or needed improvements to management
- Adhere to Constance Hotels Experience and Constance Ephelia Resort core values and CERS discipline standards
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements :
- Diploma / certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position in a 5 Star hotel
- Have good knowledge of HACCP standards, food safety, food preparation and menu content
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated, creative and highly energetic personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to consistently high standards of food presentation
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills for menu planning and inventory management
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when required
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new culinary trends and techniques
- Familiarity with international cuisines and dietary requirements is an advantage
