About the Role
As a Bartender at KIGO, you will be responsible for delivering refined and knowledgeable beverage service within a high-end Japanese dining environment. You will work closely with the bar and service teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience, with a particular focus on Japanese beverages, sake and premium spirits.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve cocktails, sake, Japanese spirits and other beverages to the highest standards
• Provide knowledgeable and personalized recommendations to guests
• Maintain strong knowledge of Japanese beverages, including sake, shochu, whisky and other premium Japanese spirits
• Deliver professional and engaging service while maintaining discretion and attention to detail
• Maintain strong knowledge of the beverage menu and Japanese drinking culture
• Ensure drinks are prepared accurately and consistently according to KIGO standards
• Work closely with the culinary and service teams throughout service
• Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked bar
• Assist with stock control, ordering and inventory management
• Follow beverage specifications, recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Support the wider team during busy service periods
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Bartender within a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel or fine dining environment
• Fluent Japanese is essential
• Strong knowledge of Japanese beverages is essential, including sake, shochu and Japanese whisky
• Japanese national is strongly preferred
• Previous experience within a Japanese restaurant or Japanese fine dining concept is highly advantageous
• Strong cocktail and beverage knowledge
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Confident providing detailed beverage recommendations to discerning guests
• Well-presented, professional and guest-focused
• Strong attention to detail and passion for Japanese hospitality
• Able to work effectively in a refined, fast-paced environment
• Currently based in Dubai or willing to relocate
