Work a ski season in the Swiss Alps!
We are looking for an experienced chef who is talented and passionate about their role. An exciting opportunity is available to spend the winter season working in the kitchen of our boutique ski hotel.
Working under the direction of the General Manager and Head Chef, you will have experience of working in all kitchen sections and be a key member of the kitchen team. You will be responsible for the smooth delivery of an a la carte cooked breakfast and casual lunch menu (burgers, salads, local dishes)
We require hard working chefs who are confident in their abilities but also have a strong desire to further their career and a real passion for the food that they produce.
In general there will be maximum of 55 covers for breakfast and The lunch time trade can be unpredictable and typically ranges from 10 covers to 40 covers.
You will work independently, having the kitchen to yourself during the mornings with the evening team arriving in the afternoon.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and delivering amazing hospitality to our guests. You will need an EU passport or residency for this position
Mountain Lodge is a small boutique ski hotel situated on the slopes in a small hamlet in the Swiss Alps offering an amazing experience to work in a small team and enjoy the mountains in your time off.
Requirements
- Proven ability in the catering industry
- Experience of working in an A La Carte restaurant kitchen
- Catering qualification to NVQ Level 2
- Food Hygiene Certification
- Good organisational skills
- Friendly personality
- Good team player
