We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our high-performing kitchen team in the beautiful Lefkara area, Cyprus. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional cuisine, thrives in a refined culinary environment, and is ready to begin immediately.
This position is based within a prestigious 5-star hotel, home to an elegant fine-dining restaurant celebrated for its refined atmosphere, exceptional service, and elevated culinary standards.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
As a Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen and contribute to delivering sophisticated, beautifully presented dishes that reflect the hotel’s distinguished reputation. You will work closely with an experienced and professional brigade to ensure seamless service across all meal periods, upholding the highest levels of quality, consistency, and craftsmanship expected within a world-class luxury hospitality environment.
Daily Operations
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your assigned section to fine-dining standards.
- Ensure all dishes are consistently executed to the required taste, texture, and presentation.
- Complete and maintain mise en place for your section before, during, and after service.
- Ensure your station is set up correctly and fully stocked before each service.
Service
- Run your section efficiently during service, maintaining speed, quality, and organisation.
- Coordinate with the pass and other sections to ensure timely sending of orders.
- Adapt quickly to changes in orders and special requests while maintaining standards.
Quality, Hygiene & Safety
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation (FIFO) of all ingredients in your section.
- Keep your work area clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Stock & Waste Management
- Monitor stock levels and alert senior chefs to any shortages or ordering needs.
- Help minimise waste through correct preparation, handling, and storage of products.
- Assist with stock counts and deliveries when required.
Teamwork & Training
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to execute menus and specials.
- Support and guide Commis Chefs and junior team members on your section.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with all members of the kitchen brigade.
