Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Engineering Storekeeper to join our team at the prestigious Constance Moofushi resort in the Maldives. As an Engineering Storekeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our engineering inventory, ensuring smooth operations in our picturesque island setting.
- Manage and organise the engineering store, maintaining accurate inventory records
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming engineering parts, materials, and equipment
- Issue tools, equipment, and supplies to engineering staff as required
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile physical inventory with digital records
- Prepare and process purchase orders for replenishment of stock
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe storage environment
- Collaborate with the engineering team to forecast inventory needs and prevent stockouts
- Implement and maintain an efficient inventory management system
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in the store area
- Assist in the preparation of periodic inventory reports for management
- Coordinate with suppliers and handle basic procurement tasks
Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an engineering or industrial setting
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Basic technical knowledge of engineering parts and equipment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of engineering terminology and basic concepts
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an engineering environment
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20 kg
- Willingness to work in a remote island resort setting
- Relevant certifications in inventory management or supply chain (preferred)
