Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Yoga Instructor to join our team at our luxurious resort in , Maldives. As a Yoga Instructor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests' wellness experience by providing expert guidance and instruction in various yoga practices.
- Plan and lead daily yoga classes for guests of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners
- Tailor yoga sessions to meet individual needs, accommodating different fitness levels and physical limitations
- Demonstrate and guide proper yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation practices
- Create a calm and welcoming environment that promotes relaxation and mindfulness
- Provide modifications and adjustments to ensure safe and effective practice for all participants
- Educate guests about the benefits of yoga and its impact on overall well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe practice area, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and sanitised
- Collaborate with the resort's wellness team to develop and implement yoga programmes and retreats
- Stay updated on current yoga trends and techniques to continually improve class offerings
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience teaching yoga classes in a professional setting
- Proficiency in various yoga styles, including but not limited to Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and proper alignment in yoga postures
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions and adjustments
- Empathetic and supportive approach to teaching, with the ability to motivate and inspire students
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to create and lead meditation and breathing exercises
- Strong class planning and time management skills
- Flexibility to work in a tropical resort environment and adapt to changing schedules
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
- Passion for promoting wellness and a healthy lifestyle
