The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the Food & Beverage Manager and Director of Food & Beverage in overseeing the daily operations of restaurants and bars, ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience. This role plays a critical part in maintaining service standards, supporting team development, and achieving financial and operational goals.
Job Duties & Functions:
- Support the day-to-day operations of assigned F&B outlets, ensuring alignment with service standards, guest satisfaction, and team efficiency.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, consistency, and presentation, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Assist in managing outlet labor, food, and beverage costs to ensure profitability.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager in reviewing financial performance and implementing strategies to improve results.
- Help coordinate staff scheduling, training, and performance management to promote employee engagement and growth.
- Lead by example in delivering personalized, anticipatory, and genuine guest service in line with luxury hospitality standards.
- Assist in developing and executing marketing promotions, including social media, on-property activations, and community outreach.
- Enforce responsible alcohol service policies and report any concerns or violations to senior leadership.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and equipment functionality in all F&B areas.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Foster strong relationships across departments to support seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Attend meetings and contribute to departmental and hotel-wide initiatives as assigned.
- Performs other duties and attends meetings, as assigned by hotel/department leadership.
