The Night Receptionist is responsible for executing the hotel’s overnight accounting and front desk operations. This role ensures the accuracy of daily financial records, balances all transactions, and prepares end-of day reports. The Night Receptionist also upholds guest service standards and supports hotel operations during night-time hours, maintaining the same level of service and integrity as during the day.
Tasks:
· Handling all formalities for individual and groups’ arrival, departures, and queries
· Prioritizing guests and their wellbeing, with every effort being made to meet guests’ needs and demands
· Answering phone calls and emails in a professional manner and timely manner that reflects the Hotel Brand Standard.
· Ensure that the front desk and surrounding area are adequately equipped for guest needs, and that the front office team has an ample supply of necessary materials.
· Support the Front Office Manager in the night operations always using a proactive approach.
· Decision making in operational needs during the night shift.
· Assume full responsibility for managing a cash float.
· Maintaining a working knowledge of the sales and front office areas, credit policy, different room types and hotel services
· Working closely with the Front Office Team to ensure the daily tasks are performed correctly.
· Responsible for the Night Audit and other reports that require generating.
· Respond to guests’ feedback, inquiries, issues, and any emergencies during the night.
