Responsibilities: Assist the kitchen with the preparation of food items and ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienicAble to handle guests’ concerns and complaints Clean the food preparation equipment and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment Complete any other assigned tasks as necessaryDispose of trash and other refuse in an environmentally safe mannerEnsure fast and timely food service to customersEnsure to follow all Hugo’s Burger Bar safety and security proceduresGive genuine attention to every customer, treating them with genuine friendliness and careInput orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payments using a credit card reader or cash register whilst calculating change accurately and efficiently as possibleMaintain a neat and tidy appearance by adhering to the company dress codePerform duties to keep the facility and equipment clean and invitingParticipate actively with other crew members and managers to meet sales target during your shiftRoutinely inspect restroom areas for cleanliness and perform necessary sweeping, mopping and sanitizingSort, store and distribute stock items as necessaryWash and sanitize all utensils, dishes and cooking equipment and make sure they are stored in their correct placeWork together with the kitchen team to prepare food while following cooking, safety and sanitary requirements Qualifications & Assets: A great team player and understanding the importance of health and hygieneAbility to work under minimal supervisionAbility to multi-task with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environmentAble to read and follow standardized recipesAble to work on a shift basis including evenings, weekends and public holidaysMust be able to speak and write in EnglishPrevious experience is not necessary but will be considered an asset Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
