The Bartender will be responsible for serving patrons and providing an excellent guest drinking experience. The bartender will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ expectations.Responsibilities:Assess bar customers’ preferences and making recommendationsClean bar equipment and wash glassesComply with all food and beverage regulationsInteract with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinksMop floors and remove empty bottles and trashMix and prepare flavours for mixed drinksPrepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patronsRestock and replenish bar inventory and suppliesReplace empty kegs with full onesStock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beerStay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience Qualifications & Assets:Minimum of 1 year working experience as a bartenderAbility to meet physical demands of the position, including standing and lifting heavy items for extended periods of timeAbility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as neededAble to keep the bar organized, stocked and cleanBasic knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, cocktails, and liquorsBasic math and computer skillsCourteous, friendly personality and professional appearanceExcellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinksGood communication skills and the ability to handle tense situations with customers calmly and rationallyMust be able to work well in a teamPositive attitude and excellent communication skills
