The Resort Manager role is diverse and includes everything from guest relations and staff management to stock-control and overseeing chalet maintenance. It is an involved role requiring a high level of commitment, flexibility and a proactive approach.
This position is ideally suited to an existing supervisor/manager in the travel or hospitality industries looking for their next step up in a small business dedicated to providing a high level of service. You’ll also be based in one of the most stunning working environments in Europe.
What is entailed in this role?
- Ensuring outstanding customer service and guests satisfaction
- Managing and overseeing staff in the resort
- Organising weekly staff plan/rota for each week
- Ensuring that all members of your team are carrying out their roles efficiently and to the high standards that we expect
- Quality control of chalet standards
- Maintaining and developing key supplier relations in resort
- Contacting guests before they arrive to organise pre-ordered ski extras (ski passes / equipment etc) and offer our concierge service.
- Ensuring all guests receive any pre ordered ski extras (ski passes / equipment etc)
- Co-ordinating all guest arrivals & departures
- Developing and maintaining relationships with guests through regular chalet visits
- Try to eliminate where possible any customer complaints but if they do arise dealing with this efficiently and effectively, with happy guests at the end
- Completing all paperwork efficiently, accurately and on time
- Overseeing regular stock-takes of linen and towels, cleaning products and toiletries
- Overseeing property maintenance
- Overseeing chalet inventories
This is a broad outline of tasks but there may be other jobs that are not stated. The tourist/service industry is unpredictable and circumstances dictate exactly what is needed.
