Berghoferin Fine Hotel & Hideaway ***** is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Junior Maître to elevate and refine the guest experience across all food and beverage outlets. Key Responsibilities Include:
Food & Beverage Operations & Floor Leadership
Overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of all F&B outlets and offerings, ensuring smooth service flow, optimal guest satisfaction, and consistently high service standards. Acting as a visible host and leading presence on the floor, actively participating in service, engaging personally with guests, and ensuring refined service quality, atmosphere, and attention to detail through a hands-on approach. Monitoring revenue and cost efficiency, and alerting management of opportunities to optimize F&B performance.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Leading, organizing, and motivating a small, dedicated F&B service team of approximately four members in total. Overseeing scheduling and ensuring appropriate service coverage while fostering a professional, respectful, and performance-driven team culture. Collaborating closely with management to align on standards, coaching practices, and operational improvements, allowing for continuous growth in leadership responsibility.
Sommelier & Wine Program Focus
Taking responsibility for the operational aspects of the wine and beverage service, including wine service, recommendations, inventory, and cellar organization. Collaborating closely with management to apply established standards and guidance, while actively participating in wine-related service tasks. Bringing a genuine passion for wine and a willingness to engage in this area, using the role as an opportunity to expand knowledge and expertise under management support.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
Welcoming guests warmly and professionally, engaging personally to build long-term relationships, and handling feedback and special requests with discretion, sensitivity, and attention to detail. Ensuring every guest experience is seamless, refined, and consistent with the service standards of the house.
Quality, Operational Excellence & Cross-Department Collaboration
Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and overall atmosphere across all F&B areas, including responsibility for the professional appearance, grooming, and conduct of the service team. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, hotel management, and other departments to maintain seamless coordination between kitchen and service, and to deliver an elevated and consistently refined guest experience.
