Berghoferin Fine Hotel & Hideaway ***** is seeking an ambitious and driven Executive Chef to evolve the culinary vision of its truly unique 5-star boutique hotel.
This role offers the opportunity to develop and shape a refined and distinctive gastronomic profile, with scope for responsibility, personal expression, and long-term growth.
Set in a small mountain hamlet in southern South Tyrol, at 1,500 meters above sea level near the border with Val di Fiemme (Trentino) in the westernmost Dolomites, Berghoferin Fine Hotel & Hideaway is a boutique sanctuary of just 13 suites, combining in a uniquely refined way the charm of a meticulously curated private estate with all the amenities of luxury hospitality.
Nestled in unspoiled nature and far from mass tourism, Berghoferin is a hidden gem, privately owned, with a strong and distinctive character. Remodelled in 2022/2023, the hotel blends alpine authenticity with refined luxury, honouring the region’s heritage while introducing distinctive touches. It attracts a highly international clientele seeking a cultivated and sophisticated experience that inspires and restores.
Berghoferin’s culinary offering operates at a consistently high level, with a clear ambition for its cuisine to reflect the overall quality and character of the property. At the heart of this is the fine dining restaurant, which is fully integrated with the hotel experience, yet stands confidently on its own in terms of vision, creativity, and ambition, and is also open to external guests.
At the core of Berghoferin’s culinary philosophy are values that reflect and align with the hotel’s approach to hospitality: a deep respect for local, seasonal ingredients, culinary craftsmanship, and regional heritage, combined with a clear openness to contemporary and international influences, alongside an unwavering focus on exceptional quality, refined presentation, and highly polished, elegant service.
Berghoferin is seeking an Executive Chef who shares these values and is motivated to bring them to life, while having the freedom to develop a personal culinary vision, craft their own cohesive approach that embodies the hotel’s ethos, and establish a unique gastronomic signature. Conceived as a long-term journey, this role offers the opportunity to grow together with the hotel, shape processes, and create something enduring within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Quality & Operational Excellence
Ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, presentation, and service across all culinary offerings, in line with the hotel’s positioning and guest expectations.
Operational & Financial Responsibility
Managing kitchen operations, food costs, budgeting, purchasing, and supplier relationships, with a strong focus on efficiency, sustainability, and long-term viability.

Ensuring full compliance with hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards, and actively contributing to responsible sourcing and kitchen practices.
