You will be responsible for providing a safe and fun ski experience for our younger guests. This involves transporting the children to the slopes, assisting and providing support for the ski instructors whilst on the slopes, and ensuring their safe return to their parents or the creche. The role also involves providing general support around the chalet for duties such as Chalet Hosting, Housekeeping, looking after the bar and assisting with admin. You will be in constant contact with guests and trusted to care for their children. You’ll need to answer their questions and enhance their stay with us. This role is for an all rounder with flexibility and a willingness to work in any area of Chilly Powder when required to do so.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Inspire confidence in the parents of the children in your care in a warm and professional manner
- Make a huge effort to bond with the children in your care
- Be professional, prompt and well presented at all times
- Carry out daily room servicing to a high standard to cover the Housekeeper’s day off
- Work on the bar to cover the Barman’s night off, host in the restaurant, KP or general evening cleaning
- Provide administrative support as required
- Learn and use guest names as often as possible where appropriate
- Report any maintenance faults as soon as they occur using our established standards
- Alert the General Manager of any problems or potential problems immediately
- Interact and show genuine interest in our guests at all times to create memorable holiday experiences
- Assist with chalet changeover days in an enthusiastic way
Other Responsibilities
- Adhere to health and safety legislation and food hygiene legislation at all times, without exception by ensuring that established cleaning standards are followed
- Be self-motivated and demonstrate consistent focus and enthusiasm
- Be a valued team player by taking measures to assist your colleagues when your own work-load allows
- Be aware that we require team members to be fit and able to work throughout the season
- Attend and contribute to a weekly staff meeting to discuss new ideas and improvements

Requirements
Previous experience of working with children is essential.
A good level of skiing. Please do not apply if you have only snowboarded or never skied before.
Child care qualification or basic ski qualifications preferred.
Conversational French advantageous.
First aid certificate essential.
