Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and efficient A/C Technician to join our team at the luxurious Constance Moofushi resort in the Maldives. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our air conditioning systems, contributing to the comfort of our guests in our tropical paradise.
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems throughout the resort
- Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning units promptly and efficiently
- Ensure proper refrigerant handling and disposal in compliance with environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Respond to guest complaints regarding air conditioning and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure overall resort facilities are in excellent condition
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades or energy-efficient solutions when appropriate
Qualifications
- Vocational training or technical degree in HVAC systems
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in HVAC installation and maintenance
- Relevant HVAC certifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of air conditioning systems, particularly those suitable for tropical climates
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for both electrical and mechanical components
- Proficiency in refrigerant handling and management
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced resort environment
- Good communication skills in English
- Physical fitness to perform tasks involving lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
- Willingness to work in a remote island resort setting
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
