About
Last winter I worked at Hakuba 47 Ski Academy International in Japan, my role included snowboard instructing (I am qualified NZSIA Level 2), reception work, helping customers get sorted with rental gear and making sure that their experience with us was more than what they expected. I spent a lot of time with kids from age 3+ teaching them, making sure they had an enjoyable time in the snow and giving them some time off to enjoy the mountains.
Another role I have had previously in my home town of Wanka , New Zealand was working in a specialty cafe called Patagonia. I worked in front of house dealing with customers and making sure they got everything they needed, as well as preparing food in the kitchen and cleaning at the start and end of every shift, often working overtime when needed.
I also did some volunteer work at an orphanage in the Philippines where I would organise meals for the kids and help out with the newborns and toddlers at the Malnutrition Centre.
I also help out with my family's accommodation business in Wanaka and Waihi Beach, New Zealand, dealing with guests, answering questions, cleaning when needed and making sure the accommodation is up to our high standard.
I am a hard-working person with experience in mountain towns and would be happy to take on a variety of roles in any location where I can balance great snowboarding with working. I am a fun-loving person, who is organised and can multi-task well, I'm good with people and am always keen to give things a go and do my best in everything I do.
