Skills
I bring a strong set of skills that make me well-suited for a resort or customer-facing role. With over five years of client-facing experience, I’ve developed excellent customer service and communication skills, consistently resolving issues and delivering high-quality service, even in high-pressure environments. My time working at a high-end London butcher has taught me how to remain calm and solution-focused when handling customer needs. As a rugby forwards captain, I’ve gained leadership experience and learned how to stay composed under pressure. Having travelled extensively across the Middle East, Asia, and Australasia—and having lived in the UAE for two years—I’ve developed strong cultural awareness and adaptability, which help me connect with people from all backgrounds. I’m hardworking, punctual, and reliable, with a solid track record of part-time employment since 2020, where I’ve been responsible for tasks such as serving customers, handling transactions, and curating displays. My passion for skiing and outdoor sports means I would bring genuine enthusiasm and energy to a mountain environment. I also hold both UK and EU passports and a full UK driving license, giving me the flexibility to work internationally and confidently navigate diverse cultural settings.
About
As a 17-year-old (dob 5.7.07) A-level student planning my gap year before university, I am excited about the opportunity to combine my passion for skiing and extensive customer service experience in a mountain environment.
My five years of client-facing work experience has equipped me with customer service skills and an ability to engage with people from all backgrounds. Working at a high-class London butcher for three years has developed my confidence in liaising with customers, resolving issues promptly, and consistently delivering high-quality service even during busy periods. This experience has instilled in me a calm approach to challenging situations which I believe is an essential quality for a resort representative managing the varied needs of guests.
Having travelled extensively across the Middle East, Asia, and Australasia and having lived in the UAE for two years, I've developed strong cultural awareness and adaptability that would be invaluable when interacting with international guests. These experiences have taught me to appreciate different perspectives and communicate effectively across cultural boundaries – skills that would help ensure all resort guests feel welcomed and supported.
My calm disposition, demonstrated through responsibilities as forwards captain in rugby and high-pressure retail shop has taught me to retain composure when faced with unexpected challenges and remain level-headed and solution focused.
I am punctual, very hardworking and conscientious, illustrated through my consistent part-time employment since 2020. My commitment to reliability has made me a trusted team member at every workplace, with responsibilities including serving customers, handling sales transactions and curating displays.
As a skiing enthusiast with proficiency in a variety of outdoor sports, I am passionate about mountain environments and would bring genuine enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring every guest interaction shapes their overall experience positively.
