We are looking for a Trainee Route Setter to join the team.

Parthian is a leading indoor climbing facility dedicated to providing an exceptional climbing experience for enthusiasts of all levels. With our commitment to quality routes and a vibrant community, we're seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Route Setter.

As a Trainee Route Setter, you will work closely with our experienced internal setting team to create engaging and challenging climbing routes/boulders for our diverse community of climbers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in the stripping and setting of routes and boulder problems.
Willingness to get stuck in with the less glamorous route setting tasks such as washing holds and general maintenance.
Collaborating with the Head Route Setter to design creative and diverse climbing challenges.
Learning and implementing industry best practices in route setting methods and techniques.
Ensuring the safety and quality of all climbing routes.
Engaging with the climbing community to gather feedback and continuously improve quality - Passion for indoor climbing and route setting.
Basic understanding of climbing techniques and safety protocols.
Strong attention to detail and creativity
Ability to work well in a team, follow instructions and is very receptive to feedback
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The successful applicant will receive comprehensive training under the guidance of our Head Route Setter. This hands-on experience will cover all aspects of route setting, from safety procedures to creative design, providing a solid foundation for a successful career in the climbing industry.

Must be at least 18 years old
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
Physically capable of lifting and carrying climbing holds and equipment - Training provided
Commitment to upholding safety standards in all aspects of route setting
