THE ROLE
The steady hand that makes everything move
You are accountable for the land, the operation and the commercial growth of the village — the single point of contact on site, the person who holds it all together. Hands-on, organised, trusted.
First flight: the master plan (now to end of October)
Your first job is clear and time-bound. Our pre-application (PIP) for the master plan goes to the Câmara Municipal by the end of October. You take the controls on this from day one:
- Coordinate the architects, the engineer, the founders, the local authorities and every stakeholder to bring the master plan to submission — complete, coherent, on time.
- Own the details: drawings, documents, permits, sequencing, follow-through.
On the land
- Run daily operations as our single point of contact — permaculture experts, guest manager, volunteers, builders, service providers, consultants.
- Coordinate the volunteers, the existing building work and the maintenance of the property.
- Hold the build through its next phase: fifteen to twenty cabins from design into delivery, on budget and on schedule.
- Open the existing property to outside retreat hosts and facilitators, alongside our own programmes.
- Drive occupancy — channel management across the apartments and cabins, and relationships with retreat hosts.
- Plan, co-develop and oversee retreat activities on site.
Growth
- Lead fundraising for round two alongside the founders.
- Develop the fractional ownership offer, real estate mapping and sales.
- Build partnerships, online and physical — every relationship clear, reciprocal and flowing.
- Coordinate with the zeropoint.earth team on marketing, partnerships and the summit.
WHO YOU ARE
Grounded, capable, and ready to build
- You have run something real — a hospitality property, a real estate development, a retreat centre, a community — and you owned the budget for it.
- You have operated as a GM, COO or founder.
- You have taken a project through municipal approvals, or worked closely with architects, engineers and local authorities to get one built.
- Hands-on operationally and sharp commercially: planning, marketing, sales, acquisition.
- You have managed contractors and teams, and you present well.
- Clear, organised, fast and precise to execute. Joyful, responsible, emotionally stable.
- Practical first, and open: you want to develop yourself and transform in a deep, grounded place — and you are here to run the development of a village.
- Living in Portugal, ideally, or ready to move to Central Portugal. Driving licence required; car provided. No Portuguese needed to start, willing to learn it.
WHAT WE OFFER
A life, not just a role
- A very competitive package for the right person: base, performance bonus, private accommodation on the property.
- Uncapped commission on fractional ownership and property sales.
- Equity participation and a success fee on the capital raise are open to discussion.
- A pivotal seat in a project with real momentum, and room to grow as it scales.
- Special land, a conscious community, and a game worth playing.
TIMELINE
Now — part-time to start, full-time from spring
We want the right person at the controls of the master plan this month. Part-time or fractional works well through the autumn and winter, moving to full-time from spring 2027 when we begin to build.
