Position: Sushi Cook / Sushi Artisan
The Sushi Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes, including sashimi, nigiri, maki rolls, and specialty items. The role involves handling and preparing fresh fish, maintaining food safety standards, ensuring consistent presentation, and delivering authentic Japanese cuisine in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cut fish according to sushi preparation standards.
- Prepare sushi rice and all sushi ingredients.
- Produce sashimi, nigiri, maki rolls, and specialty sushi items.
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure product quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Monitor inventory and proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow restaurant recipes and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Cook, Sushi Chef, or Sushi Artisan.
- Strong fish-cutting and knife skills.
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
