POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for hosting and actively participating in shipboard recreational and entertainment programs tailored for children and families.
Serves as a master of ceremonies, engaging, motivating, informing, and entertaining both small and large groups of guests throughout their cruise experience.
All shipboard employees may be required to perform various functions across multiple venues and areas of the ship, ensuring a dynamic and memorable guest experience.
QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a master of ceremonies or in professional entertainment (e.g., theatre, music, dance, comedy) within resorts, cruise lines, or the entertainment/recreation industry.
- At least one (1) year of experience working with children in theatre, dance, recreational, or educational environments.
- Proficiency in balloon artistry and face painting is required.
- Experience in facilitating activity classes such as dance, crafts, fitness, singing, or similar is preferred.
- Ability to offer a unique talent or specialty skill for personal enrichment classes is an advantage.
- Strong capability to engage and manage large audiences, using effective and professional microphone techniques. Prior microphone experience is required.
- Ability to instruct and guide large groups in an organized and engaging manner.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment, authority, and discretion in resolving guest concerns in alignment with Royal Way Brand Standards.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations, internet use, and navigation of common software applications.
- Completion of high school education or equivalent is required.
