Job Overview
As a School Group Coordinator, you’ll oversee the smooth running of school residentials, focusing on the welfare, schedule management, and engagement of children (primarily Year 4–6). You will serve as the key liaison between visiting teachers, Blackwell’s activity instructors, and camp leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise group arrivals and departures efficiently.
- Coordinate daily camp schedules, ensuring children are prepared for morning and afternoon sessions.
- Liaise with activity instructors and teachers to align on session objectives and support needs.
- Supervise meal times and oversee tidying routines.
- Lead/assist with evening activities such as campfires, orienteering, and outdoor games.
- Maintain pastoral oversight during downtime, ensuring children’s welfare and engagement.
- Provide feedback to camp management and teaching staff.
- Uphold the centre’s safety, inclusivity, and child safeguarding standards.
Typical Day
- Start around 08:00, seeing group through breakfast.
- Coordinate children getting ready for activities.
- Support meals and supervise tidying.
- Plan and lead evening sessions until approximately 20:00.
- Time off allocated in the day.
- Enjoy breaks during kids’ activity time and have weekends off.

- Experience working with children (primary schools, residentials, camps).
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and group leadership.
- Enthusiastic, confident, friendly, and adaptable.
- Able to speak to large groups and manage diverse needs
Employment Details & Perks
- Contract Term: March / April to end of July (flexible dates negotiable)
- Working Hours: Typically 08:00–20:00, Monday–Friday. (Friday finishes at approx. 4pm) You will have time off in the day to compensate for working other hours.
