Job Description
Constance Ephelia, a luxurious resort in Seychelles, is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Hygiene Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive hygiene and sanitation programmes across all areas of the resort
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local and international health and safety standards
- Train and supervise the hygiene team, providing guidance on best practices and procedures
- Collaborate with department heads to address hygiene-related issues and implement improvements
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective procurement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest hygiene technologies and methodologies, implementing innovations where appropriate
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on hygiene performance and incidents
- Liaise with local health authorities and external auditors as required
- Respond promptly to guest feedback and concerns related to cleanliness and hygiene
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental health and safety regulations in Seychelles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Public Health, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Proven knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards, particularly in a luxury hotel setting
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including local requirements in Seychelles
- Relevant certifications in food safety and hygiene management (e.g., HACCP)
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and hygiene management software
- Thorough understanding of quality assurance and control processes
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Creole would be advantageous
