Job Description
The Housekeeping Coordinator ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department by managing administrative tasks, coordinating communication between the team and other departments, and maintaining accurate record
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Coordination Duties
Act as the main point of contact between the Housekeeping Department, Front Office, and other operational departments.
Maintain daily room status reports and ensure accurate updates are communicated to Front Office.
Coordinate work assignments, prepare daily reports, and track room inspection results.
Monitor and update the housekeeping system (PMS) for room status changes and maintenance requests.
Handle incoming calls, messages, and guest requests promptly and professionally.
Operational Support
Support the Housekeeping Management in scheduling, daily briefing, and assignment of staff.
Ensure lost and found items are properly logged, stored, and returned according to hotel policy.
Follow up on maintenance issues reported by Room Attendants and liaise with Engineering.
Verify linen, amenity, and cleaning supply requests and coordinate with the storekeeper.
Guest Experience & Quality Control
Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure follow-up with the respective team members.
Monitor VIP arrivals and special requests, ensuring rooms meet brand standards.
Assist in conducting room inspections when necessary to maintain quality standards.
Administrative Records & Reporting
Maintain attendance, overtime, and leave records of the housekeeping team.
Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports.
Assist with training coordination and performance documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
Previous experience in housekeeping operations or coordination within a hotel environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and computer literacy (MS Office, Opera PMS, or similar).
Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
Professional, courteous, and service-oriented attitude.
