About Palm Beach Resort
Palm Beach Resort marks the transformation of a historic Cypriot landmark into a premier destination for contemporary luxury. Located on the pristine beachfront of Larnaca, the resort is being developed into a five-star hospitality experience that reflects a refined blend of timeless elegance and modern design.
The property will comprise 159 upscale guestrooms, 21 private bungalows, and a residential tower with 30 luxury apartments. Guests and residents will enjoy a curated selection of 2 signature dining venues, premium leisure and entertainment areas, conference/banquet facilities, a dedicated children’s play zone, gym and a state-of-the-art wellness spa center, designed to promote holistic well-being and a communal working environment. In addition to the hotel component the project includes residential units that will be managed by the hotel.
The management of the resort has been entrusted to Thanos Hotels & Resorts, a distinguished hospitality group with extensive experience in operating luxury properties in Cyprus. Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee the pre-opening and operational leadership of Palm Beach Resort. This executive role requires a results-oriented professional with a strong background in the five star/luxury segment hotel operations, particularly in Food & Beverage (F&B) management, team leadership, and financial oversight in the five star/luxury segment. The successful candidate will report directly to senior leadership of Thanos Hotels & Resorts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring brand standards, operational excellence, and superior guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the resort’s positioning, business goals, and financial targets.
- Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of departmental heads and team members.
- Direct and optimize the Food & Beverage function, including concept development, quality control, service delivery, and profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Oversee the preparation and execution of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to maximize revenue, market share, and brand exposure.
- Foster a performance-driven culture and continuous improvement across all operational teams.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hotel operations, including prior General Manager or Hotel Manager roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in F&B management, with a track record of innovation and profitability in high-end hospitality environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage complex operations, multitask effectively, and make data-driven decisions.
- Sound financial acumen and experience in managing large-scale budgets and cost controls.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Greek is considered an asset.
- Experience in pre-opening hotel projects will be considered an advantage.
