Under the responsibility of the Head of Reception/Concierge, your main duties will include:
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the reception/concierge desk is staffed overnight.
- Demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken French and English.
- Master and have thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
- Perform reception tasks and procedures, including welcome services, communication, cash handling, administration, and security.
- Ensure the smooth execution of all guest-related operations at the reception: check-in, check-out, billing, room changes, providing information, organizing shuttles, etc.
- Maintain an excellent appearance, a positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Handle guest complaints according to the procedures provided by your superiors.
- Guarantee the quality of services offered to guests.
- Ensure the safety and tranquility of the hotel overnight.
- Manage reception accounting: validate invoices, process payments, and close daily operations.
- Review the accounting for accommodation, restaurant, bar, and spa.
- Verify all transactions conducted during the day, including credit cards, checks, and cash at the reception and other departments.
- Oversee and manage the night audit (verifying in-house guest accounts, cash registers, generating payment reports, deposits, debtors, etc., and performing the daily closing).
- Prepare the revenue balance.
- Generate sales and statistical reports.
- Ensure security: monitor cameras, lock and unlock various hotel areas (public, staff, etc.).
- Provide on-demand services (room service, emergencies, etc.).
- Memorize guest preferences and habits to better satisfy them during future stays and record them carefully in the guest profiles.
- Hand over to the morning team, provide a nightly report, and communicate any requests.
- Submit the night report to management and each department head.
- Carry out tasks assigned by your superiors.
