Job Description
Constance Belle Mare Plage, a luxurious resort in Mauritius, is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during night hours, overseeing financial transactions, and providing exceptional guest service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Apply and ensure proper application of company standards, procedures, and regulations concerning night audit and accounts.
- Verify and process all check-ins and check-outs, ensuring correct rates and payments are applied.
- Reconcile daily financial transactions, including cash sales, credit card payments, and credit transfers to Tour Operators.
- Prepare and submit daily reports, highlighting any discrepancies or anomalies.
- Manage end-of-day processes, including closing point of sales, printing summaries, and changing system dates.
- Monitor and update room rates according to seasonal changes and occupancy trends.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in hotel management software and property management systems
- Strong mathematical and accounting skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Customer service-oriented with a professional and courteous demeanour
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of hotel operations and accounting procedures
- Experience with front desk operations and cash handling
