What You'll Do As the Banquet Manager, you’ll provide leadership and support to banquet staff while ensuring a high standard of guest satisfaction while operating within established budgets and goals. You’ll ensure your team provides guests with excellent food and beverages in a timely, courteous, efficient, and accurate manner. You’re familiar with all facets of daily banquet operations including but not limited to; food, wine, spirits, and service techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with culinary as well as catering sales team through pre-event phase.
- Promote a team environment while displaying calm and professional behavior, and ensure guests are served in an expedient and friendly manner.
- Continually train banquets team on service & setup standards and provide coaching, mentoring as needed.
- Hands on approach, whilst actively monitoring all setups and events service execution.
- Knowledgeable of restaurant/hotel competitive set and recommends sales/pricing strategies, service and product improvements/up sell strategies to stay competitive.
- Detailed knowledge of property, space, capacities, concept/food style (menus!)
- Attend F&B Leader’s meetings and actively participate in weekly sales/pace/BEO meetings.
- Creation of Annual Budget with support of F&B Director and review monthly forecasts.
- Review costing policy with Banquet Chef to ensure maximizing profitability.
- Ensure that accurate and detailed notes/traces of accounts are maintained via PMS and restaurant database.
- Organize activities and represent the hotel at off-premises/charity events.
What You Bring - 3+ years’ experience as Banquet Manager/ Supervisor at a high-volume luxury resort.
- Strong understanding of Delphi/ POS is must.
- Knowledge of food, wine, events setup and hosting plated gala dinners is must.
- High level of creativity, enthusiasm and flexibility!
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, well organized, detail oriented with excellent follow-up.
- Must have a clear understanding on Banquet AV operations and daily client needs.
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000 per annum. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
