Job Brief
Responsible for welcoming the guest upon arrival and implementing welcome experience (check-in) and farewell experience (check-out) including all cashiering and billing processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Give a warm welcome to guests on arrival and register them
· Handle guests check out efficiently and professionally.
· Identify and anticipate guest’s needs and assist in any possible way.
· Take payments from guests on arrival and departure and close their bills in compliance with the financial rules and regulations.
· Receptionist/Cashier is required to be always attentive to all guest requirements, proactively anticipate guest needs and act accordingly showing genuine care.
· Accountable for cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audits tasks and settlement upon Guests’ departure.
· Provide friendly sand courteous service to guest and respond promptly to all requests and inquiries at all time.
· Handle issuance of guest room key cards and ensure effective control for guest security.
· Ensure that all hotel standards are met when serving the guests and handling information.
· Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
· Perform any reasonable task requested by the shift leaders and reception supervisor.
· Always respond to guest complaints in a professional manner and record all relevant information.
· Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, cleanliness and appearance always.
· Always use the correct standard to answer the telephone.
· Constantly check the handover, memo file and ensure checklists are completed at the end of your shift.
· Report any unusual occurrences and any concerns to the reception shift leaders and supervisor.
· Ensure all special requests on the arrival list are being action and followed up.
· Verify that all registration cards and keys have been prepared for the day.
· Update any information from the guest registration card onto OPERA.
· Liaise with the Concierge desk for the delivery and collect of luggage.
· Follow up with the concerned airlines and agencies in case of any guest’s lost luggage.
· Ensure that upon arrival, information on guests’ vouchers matches the one in our reservation system. If incorrect or wrong, ensure proper action is taken.
· Reconfirm airline ticket for all direct guests and follow up on any query from agencies’ guests.
· Prepare the registration card for the next day.
· Verify / print / attach with departure letter the bill for the next day departure.
· Ensure that parcels, faxes, messages are delivered to guests on time.
· Constantly liaise with all the resort departments to ensure smooth running of the operations.
· Sorting and filling of guests’ bills from the outlets.
· Clearing out the dockets of the check out guests.
· Prepare and update the departure control sheet for the next day.
Candidate Requirements :
· Diploma/ Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management
· Should have minimum of 2 years’ experience as Receptionist/Front Desk Age for a 5 Star Resort
· Being Multi-lingual i.e. French / Italian/German/Russian / Arabic languages would be advantageous
· Prior experience working with Opera is Mandatory
· Effective communication skills and pleasant personality are a must.
· Possession of superior interactive skills is essential.
· Possession of basic computer operating skills – MS Office/Excel is desirable
